PSAC/UTE Bargaining Team Pushes for Leave Improvements

From December 17th to the 20th, 2012 our Bargaining Team spent four days in negotiations with CRA.  In light of the fact that Bill C-45 has passed – giving Treasury Board effective control over CRA bargaining – our Bargaining Team indicated at the outset of the session that we are now more determined than ever to achieve new protections for UTE/PSAC members at CRA.

PSAC/UTE Bargaining Team to Resume Negotiations with CRA

After a Federal election, several months of our on-going grievance campaign, PSAC/UTE members meeting with, writing and contacting Members of Parliament, meetings between UTE President Bob Campbell and the CRA Commissioner, and on-going discussions between PSAC President Robyn Benson and Treasury Board concerning CRA negotiations, the parties have set dates to return to the bargaining table on March 21, 22nd and 23rd.

Our Team looks forward to returning to the table with an eye to reaching a fair settlement with the Agency. As always, we’ll be sure to update as things progress.

“The tentative collective agreement settlements reached by the federal Treasury Board and the Canada Revenue Agency with some federal unions this week will not stand in the way of proper compensation for PSAC/UTE members who work for the CRA”, says PSAC National President Chris Aylward.
