The committee had a virtual meeting on May 6th, 2024. At that meeting we were updated on current tech change processes in Assessment Benefit and Service Branch (robotic process/ T1 modernization/ addition of First-Time Home savings). UTE reps asked for update on CAS replacement system. Was informed that they have a couple of options, but nothing confirmed yet.
There is an anticipation of testing occurring but no confirmed dates. This will be an open issue for next meeting as they will have more information. The committee also asked again for any information around Artificial Intelligence and would like this to be an open item at meetings in the future. The only update from employer is that Artificial Intelligence and is to be used as an assistance tool for agents and not to replace them.
UTE did give them feedback that employees aren’t seeing it that way. Some have noticed a shift in work loads and have concerns.
