SELECTION PROCESS FOR A POSITION OF LABOR RELATIONS OFFICER (LRO)

As mentioned in my last President's Report, following the departure of one of our bilingual Labour Relations Officers, we posted a selection process for this vacant position on December 13, 2023.

From this list, only four (4) candidates met the selection criteria.

We contacted the successful candidates to invite them to complete the written exam. Two (2) of these candidates withdrew and the other two (2) wrote the exam. However, the two (2) candidates did not meet the minimum standards required.

On February 20, we re-posted the selection process. Unfortunately, none of the candidates who had applied for the position met the selection criteria specified in the job offer.

We therefore posted the position again on March 5. Interested candidates have until March 22 to submit their applications.

SELECTION PROCESS FOR AN ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT POSITION

On December 13, 2023, we posted a selection process for an Administrative Assistant to fill a vacant position. We received approximately 150 applications. We are still in the process of reviewing the applications received and will be calling some of the candidates who meet the selection criteria to assess their ability to communicate in writing in both official languages before proceeding with the next step of the selection process.

OTHER SELECTION PROCESSES

Following movements in personnel and the absence of some employees, we have had to review our hiring priorities. First, we need to fill positions in the Finance department, as well as the positions of Administrative Assistant and Labour Relations Officer. Next, we will be launching selection processes as soon as possible to hire an Office Manager and a Communications and Media Relations Officer.
