ELECTRONIC APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP FORM
The processing of electronic application for membership forms is still a significant challenge and remains a priority for us.
The processing of electronic application for membership forms continues to be a major challenge and remains a priority for us. In my last report, I mentioned that we had decided to assign Gabriela Nunes, administrative assistant at the national office, to work solely on these files in order to increase the processing rate in order to reduce the backlog of files. In doing so, we were able to process a tremendous number of applications before the end of 2022 and into early 2023.
Unfortunately, Sister Nunes left us last month and we are once again left with a shortage of administrative support staff.
We initiated another selection process earlier this year to hire two additional administrative assistants due to the high workload. In the meantime, we intend to offer short term contracts of less than four (4) months to two individuals (UTE members) who are familiar with the Unionware platform to assist us in a timely manner to continue to decrease the number of outstanding files.
Following the conclusion of the selection process, we have already decided that one of the administrative assistants will now have the sole responsibility for the administration of the membership.
I would like to thank our administrative support staff for their excellent work and dedication to our members. Their work is greatly appreciated.
Respectfully submitted,
Marc Brière
National President
