In this edition of Union News, we are going to discuss several articles contained within the collective agreement. This includes the most recent changes to our collective agreement along with changes in place because of negotiations during the past few rounds of collective bargaining.
On November 13, 2020, the recently ratified collective agreement was signed by the members of the Union of Taxation Employees’ bargaining team along with members of the Canada Revenue Agency’s bargaining team. Effective on that date all provisions contained in the newly negotiated contract came into effect.
In a decision published the week of September 10, 2018, an adjudicator representing the Public Service Labour Relations and Employment Board ruled in favour of an employee of the Canada Revenue Agency who was unable to attend work as a result of a fierce snowstorm which occurred in 2015 on Prince Edward Island.
In November 2020, a new collective agreement was signed between the Union of Taxation Employees and the Canada Revenue Agency. The December 2020 edition of the Union News had an extensive article explaining additions to the collective agreement along with changes negotiated to existing language in the collective agreement.
