Robert Campbell - Item 5

  • Delivery of UTE Courses:  We held a National Grievance Course in October. Both the French and English sessions were well attended, and we received positive feedback.  Brothers O’Brien and Macdonald are in the process of reviewing the Staffing course. 
  • Job Descriptions for National Office Staff: The National Office is in the process of writing Job Descriptions for all of our staff. When completed they will be sent to the PSAC Classification Section for proper Classification. The process is still on going.
  • Ad Hoc Structure Committee:  The AD HOC Structure committee created to review the structure of UTE has held a series of meetings and a report will be forwarded to this December Executive council meeting.
  • Conservative Party Convention: We sent three National officers to the Conservative Party Convention in Calgary in November to participate in protests that reflect our concerns on the party’s anti- union and anti- civil servant resolutions. These officers actively engaged with the press and were successful in bring our concerns to light.
