On April 30, we sent a message to CRA and to the public

On April 30, 2013, members working at CRA offices across the country took action to speak out about cuts to the services they provide and to show support for our bargaining team.

Our team has been bargaining with CRA since last September and so far little progress has been made with the employer.

Locals were creative and organized events at worksites, playing music and handing out refreshments on breaks and lunch while handing out information leaflets and engaging in conversations about bargaining and other important issues.  Some Locals held prize draws and handed out We are all affected buttons and other union materials.

Members signed messages of solidarity and support for our bargaining team – messages that included “Give us back our 1%”, “Hands off our pensions” and “Leave our sick leave alone”.

Locals also handed out leaflets to members of the public about how cuts to CRA.  services will affect them.

Altogether, our members sent a strong message that we are united for a fair contract!
